AAMI PARK STADIUM

MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA

With its innovative bioframe design and premier rectangular pitch, AAMI Park is a haven for athletes and fans of all sporting codes and arena spectaculars. Coinciding with major upgrade works ahead of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023, the ground underwent resurfacing works to the natural turf pitch, including an upgrade of the infield irrigation system. To allow events to continue, Cadsult designed the irrigation system into two phased work periods, with the intent to remove all control valves from the field of play and to the boundary, removing any risks associated with a pressurized mainline underneath the arena. A re-design of the sprinkler locations from triangle to rectangle spacing also increased the uniformity of the water application.

BROOKVALE OVAL – (4 PINES PARK)

NSW, AUSTRALIA

Brookvale Oval, now officially known as 4 Pines Park, is a sporting ground located in New South Wales, Australia. The ground is owned by Northern Beaches Council and is home to the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles rugby league team. Brookvale Oval has an approximate capacity of 23,000 people. Cadsult undertook the Irrigation design and documentation of this stadium. The field of play irrigation consisted of individually controlled rotors for high control of water application across the pitch which is important in a stadium environment. The site is susceptible to strong winds making the individual control important.

Hansen Reserve

MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA
Located in West Footscray, Hansen Reserve is a large open space recreational reserve that is a community hub of activity for both formal and informal activities. CADSULT were engaged by Maribyrnong City Council to design and stage the irrigation system for the entire reserve, with stage 1 of the endorsed Master Plan now completed. The new system includes a new Water Authority meter connection and Brown Brothers Engineers Australia in-line dual booster pump station, a new Hunter Industries A2C 75-stn decoder controller connected to the Council’s Centralus platform to assist with the staged installation, and above ground valve enclosures/seating for ease of maintenance. The result is fantastic and we can’t wait to be involved in the next stages.

Home of the Matildas

MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA
The Home of Matilda’s is a state-of-the-art soccer facility funded through a groundbreaking Vic Government investment into the La Trobe University Sports Park; it is the largest ever government investment for a football specific project in Australia. For the irrigation design, Cadsult adhered to strict FIFA and AFC guidelines to provide intricate water control and monitoring of the main elite hybrid turf pitch and the natural turf training pitch. The components of the system include Rain Bird 8005 premium sports field rotors with individual head control via Rain Bird PEB globe valves, automated via a Rain Bird ESP-LX-IVM Pro 2-wire control unit that has the ability to turn on up to 16 rotors simultaneously.

Kalgoorlie Racecourse

KALGOORLIE, AUSTRALIA
Engaged by Racing and Wagering WA, CADSULT provided the irrigation design services for the course proper natural turf track. Utilising the existing pump station and storage dam, the system consisted of a Toro Lynx Smart Hub & Central Control System, an on-site Weather Station, Toro INF55 VIH sprinklers & all new PE100 MDPE mainline & sub-mainline pipes. Despite some severe environmental challenges and very low water supply, the turf is growing in well & will soon be a spectacular location for provincial racing events in WA.

MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA
Oval No.2 at Penleigh & Essendon Grammar School now features a modern irrigation system with Hunter I-25 sprinklers, A2C decoder controls via Centralus software, and a Brown Bros. Hydro-Pac pump, all set against a contemporary architectural backdrop. Sydney Football Stadium Redevelopment

NSW, Australia
Sydney Football Stadium, currently known as Allianz Stadium for sponsorship reasons, is a multi-purpose stadium in Sydney, Australia. Built as a replacement for the original Sydney Football Stadium, it was officially opened on 28 August 2022. Cadsult, working closely with our industry partner Sporteng, was responsible for the Irrigation design and documentation of Sydney’s premier new rectangular stadium. A key design consideration was the ability to apply water quickly pre-game and at half time during football (soccer) matches to improve speed of play. The field of play irrigation consisted of individually controlled rotors for high control of water application across the pitch, which is important in a stadium environment where wind and grandstand shadowing is a factor. CADSULT were engaged for their whole breadth of services at this site, including the initial feature survey, irrigation design & documentation, pump station design and the pre-works set-out of sprinklers.
